The Obvious Signs Once You’re Free
Ever notice how glaringly obvious narcissists are once you’ve escaped their clutches? It’s like seeing the world in HD after living with a bad antenna. Narcissists suffer from Look-At-Me Syndrome, always needing to be the center of attention, even at a backyard BBQ. They loudly recount how they single-handedly saved their company from ruin, again. If there’s a spotlight, they’ll find it—or bring their own. They also have a Reflection Obsession, treating mirrors like their best friends. Catch them stealing glances at themselves in any reflective surface, be it a car window or a spoon. It’s like they’re in a never-ending beauty contest.
You’ll also notice their Constant Critic behavior. If they’re not tearing down others to build themselves up, they’re probably asleep. “Did you see what she wore today? Tragic.” They throw shade like it’s their job. And let’s not forget the Sob Story Routine. Narcissists are pros at playing the victim. “Everyone’s out to get me!” they wail, conveniently forgetting their trail of chaos. They’re like walking soap operas, minus the compelling plot.
Once you’re out of the narcissist’s fog, these signs are as clear as day. You’ll spot them from a mile away, and instead of falling for their antics, you’ll be the one laughing, knowing you’ve dodged a bullet. So, grab some popcorn and enjoy the show—narcissists are their own worst comedy act!
